PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION
How I look after your information
Your privacy is deeply important to me. This policy explains how Dr Eve da Silva (the 'Data Controller') collects, stores, and uses information within this practice, in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What data is collected and why
I collect personal data (contact details, date of birth) and 'special category' sensitive data (health information, clinical notes) to manage appointments and provide therapy. The legal basis is the performance of our contract and health care provision.
How your data is stored
Your information is stored using encrypted digital systems. Clinical records are kept for 7 years after therapy ends, following professional insurance guidelines, then securely deleted.
Sharing information
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. I only share your information with your explicit consent, or if legally required—such as in safeguarding situations where there is a serious risk of harm.
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses essential cookies. I also use basic analytics to improve the service. You can manage your preferences through your browser settings.
Your UK GDPR Rights
You have the right to access a copy of your data, ask for corrections, or request deletion (where legal requirements allow). You also have the right to object to processing.
Contact and Concerns
If you have questions, please contact me directly. You also have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
